Jolie-Pitt Love

You might have heard that celebrity super couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were in Houma over the weekend, but the rumors aren’t true — yet.

Cristiano Raffignone, owner of Cristiano Ristorante in Houma, La., said he was contacted by a Pitt-Jolie bodyguard who checked out the upscale High Street eatery and said to expect the couple there a couple of Friday evenings ago. But they did not show.

He does expect the power couple to pay his Houma location a visit in the near future, though, Raffignone said.

Raffignone confirmed reports that Pitt and Jolie did dine at his New Orleans restaurant, Martinique Bistro, two weeks ago and were accompanied by Cate Blanchett. Blanchett co-stars with Pitt in “Babel,” which won the Golden Globe last month for best picture. She is also in Pitt’s latest film, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” which is currently shooting in New Orleans. The restaurateur said he did not meet the movie stars.

“I think they are going to come to Houma,” Raffignone said. “Eventually they’re going to show up. . . . When that happens, I don’t know.”(more)
